Note To Self claimed victory in the 130th running of the Hollywoodbets Durban July at Hollywoodbets Greyville in Durban on Saturday.
Trained by Justin Snaith and expertly ridden by Richard Fourie, Note To Self crossed the finish line first to win Africa’s richest horse race.
Sponsored by Hollywoodbets for the fifth consecutive year, the Grade 1 feature over 2,200 metres offered a record prize fund of R10 million, with the winning owner, trainer and connections sharing an unprecedented winner’s purse of R6 million
2026 Race Report
Winner by not much more than a nose was NOTE TO SELF followed very closely by WISH LIST with KING PELLES and VIVA’S LIBERTE coming in 3rd and 4th
The Jockey was Richard Fourie and the trainer was Justin Snaith who also gets a 2nd a place as trainer of Wish List.
While Wish List hit the front at the right time in the final straight, Note to Self exploded into action in the closing stages this.
